STOP AND LISTEN

I knew just exactly where to go. Some where that I could feel safe and comfortable yet still be able to take in all that my surroundings had to offer. I picked a place where my mind could be at ease. Nothing feels more like home then home itself. My yard is noted to be my favorite spot throughout my house, its somewhere that i can run to when I want to get away from just about everyone and everything. It really is my happy place. In doing so I laid my blanket on the soft green grass, at the center of tremendous greenery. Already I was in awe. There the wind that whipped through the tall Loulu trees made its way upon the surface of my skin. Then came the usual Myna birds that perched itself onto the branches of my plumeria trees, watching me as I watched them. As the day seemed to slip away and the air turned crisp the sun dove down from out of the clouds and emerged with this warm orange glow. Making its way towards the horizon, its rays pierced through the power lines on the street, and gently caressed the cheeks of my face. Night time came quick, so i decided to stay out just a bit longer. the clouds had turned in for the night, yet the stars shinned brighter than ever before. Just as I pointed out a few of the constellations in the sky the moon decided to make an appearance as well. Like any other night the coqui frogs voiced their song, to others its a pain to hear but I find it to be soothing. At last I was finally called in for dinner, though I left my peaceful spot, all the things that make this place so new road dear to my heart stuck with me. I became present,
